Idea Day4: SuperTag
Actually, I don’t like the presentation of tag cloud too much, as it always disrupts web sites’ visual design. But how about a web site full (and only) of tag cloud? Tag cloud has one advantage that clearly delivers the most important (or top rated, or most popular) subject on one page. If most majority aren’t patient, and only will to spend less than 30 seconds to take a look at new web sites, a site of tag cloud must be an attraction. As long as Users can catch the most important information at a glance. It’s especially useful for someone who doesn’t have specific destination when surfing Internet. The bottom line is, other users provide “what is the hottest subject recently” for you. (again, it looks like the concept of digg.com, but this time, it can be any subject, and short name-oriented.)
The process is:
1.User submit a name of a subject (event, people, gadget, info. etc.) ps. latter, this action can be substituted by a plug-in widget, and you can select (highlight) any phrase on any web pages, and right-click, or other one-step action to send in the word here as a tag.
2.That’s all!
And the name will appear at a random location on the page. If other users send in the same word as yours, the tag will grow bigger and bigger and bigger…and some of the most popular info will finally be outstanding among other info.
Until now, I skip one more thing, the links behind those tags.
That’s right, and I don’t know how to fully utilize links yet; Maybe it’s where the revenue comes from…
