Idea Day9: Monetize Behavior Patterns
Ok, I’m trying to stop dig-looping today. Actually I got an idea derived from concept of digging, (no kidding this time), Dig-Yourself. In other words, dig your personal behavior patterns of interacting with various applications both online and offline. But no more harnessing collective intelligence is needed.
The “digger” is a program designed to dig, or more precisely, “count” the frequency of executing/activating/clicking/revisiting certain applicaitons or webs. Or it counts how much time of using each program or surfing certain web sites. Statistics ranges from every hour to every month. This data base of behavior patterns can be very interesting and useful. Maybe one can not only find out what apps/webs she is currently addicted to, but also sell this valuable information to online retailers or other services craving for target consumers! Of course, you can determine what data to be sold, such as less sensitive, or less personal ones. (Though admittedly, privacy is still a problem.)
If it’s our destiny to embrace attention economy in the near future, why not monetize your attention?
