Idea Day16: Ads On URL
I believe URL (web address) is a potentially big market, since more and more people want to have their own domain name to be independent blog/photo-gallery owners. Besides, no matter web Apps or web OS are buzzy words or illuminators in the future, it’s an inevitable trend that every individual has to own an unique personal identity to operate functionalities in cyberspace. If OpenID, which facilitates registers to use an unique URLs to log on various sites, hits mainstream users, the concept “URL as ID” may come true.

Here is a new way to advertise a company’s brand:
Add a creative slogan to URL. (as sub-domain)
The slogan (phrase/sentence) is consisted of a brand/product,

URL is the public ID of an individual, so that slogan-based advertisements can show off everywhere, such as your friend’s email/IM contact list, blog comments, posts, eBay seller/buyer lists, profiles, messages on social network sites, etc.
The key is to harness your wild creativity to make the most interesting, attractive, or weirdest URL slogan, a phrase or sentence with a brand. Selection of topic ads is based on what you really like or identify with. Whether you want to be an advocator of a certain product, or you agree with a company’s philosophy.
When someone cilcks your ads-on-URL, a menu will appear and ask the clicker “would you like to visit the following sites handpicked by this URL owner?”
