Idea Day34: One-Line Blogging
Using Tumblr, you can quickly log your daily triviality or your favorite online materials. One feature of Tumblr is you can readily clip and paste anything you like to blogs. I’m more concerning about the forms of content, and musing the possibility of devising a super easy way, twitter-like blogging: A weblog with one-line limit. (limitation on number of words?)
Try to condense your idea, emotion, comment, or story into a few words.
From viewer’s prospective, one line blogging facilitates quick scanning (Rss readers without unfolding each feed). Therefore readers could save their time and energy.
For bloggers, they can update/ add several posts a day. It’s a whole new experience of presenting yourself on web. You keep traditional paper diary by writing one article a day, so you maintain the habit and formality when it comes to blog-keeping. But why can’t we keep 2 or more diaries a day? I remember a Japanese girl attracting tons of pagviews everyday just because she updates her blog 7x times per day on average. The reason behind such amazing traffic? A lot of someone (otakus) want to peer into her private life.
The problem may be how to keep content readable and attractive with so few words. And not everyone has talent to squeeze their thoughts. But who rules that blogs/ diaries have to be read by others?
Thoughts of byproduct: One Object per post? (One video clip, one music streaming, one photo?)
