Idea Day35: A Web-Browsing-Only Handheld
A gadget focusing on one functionality and cultivating it deeply sometimes achieves a big success. (iPod) Just make it easy to use and fast and provide high quality user experience.
Some web 2.0 advocates say that webs are going to be our daily life in the future, so it would be fun to see handheld devices designed exclusively for web browsing.
Let’s forget omnipotent PDAs and smartphones temporarily.
First of all, always online (when WiFi or WiMAX or 3G prevail over cities)
then
- A device dedicated to bring you the best experience of web browsing.
- Screen size range from 3.5 to 8 inches, but please don’t make it too thick and heavy.
- A simple OS (enough to run a single browser-like application)
- The UI is always a mobile web browser. (Yes, you can’t do anything except web surfing.)
- Adopt zoom-in technology. (Deepfhish, ZenZui)
- Fast
- Large fonts
- People from 9 to 99 years old can know how to use immediately.
- … !@#$%
Oh, no, can’t think anymore, a really poor idea… ![]()
