Could I just input URL of my blog on a search engine, then the system tells me: The following blogs contain content that seems to overlap/ be similar to yours.

Could this be done by extracting head lines, names of categories, tags, repeated words, links, author profiles and comments from one blog, and comparing them with content of other blogs?

Besides content, writing styles (i.e. use of adjectives and adverbs, length of sentences, preference of grammar, inclination to be emotional or analytic), locations, backgrounds of authors (profiles) can also be compared and matched.

I would like to see MyBlogLog incorporates this kind of service to enhance it’s communities of readership. Technorati, Google Blog Search, Bloglines, or Feedster might think of doing this as well.

Thanks Kevin, I also appreciate your idea of April 18. No idea is good idea!

So when I run out of ideas, I’d post an empty entry titled
“The emperor’s new idea”, (could only be seen by smart ones :P)
