Idea Day46: Q&A On IM
Family, friends, acquaintances are those you first call to mind when you need help. And sometimes some questions can only be answered by those geographically near you. So why not add a plugin to your IM interface, quickly broadcasting your questions/problems/doubts. I mean not to broadcast your message to all your contacts at one time (too rude), but something like a pop-up bubble that only appears when their mouse hovering over your ID or photo.
Questions like
“Can anyone lend the economics textbook to me?”
“Who knows how to solve this math problem___?”
“Is the deadline of ____project on_____?”
“Should I accept ____’s date?”
“Am I beautiful?”
“Where can I find a good doctor near my home to save my sneezing nose?”
“Consider buying a Nokia N73 or SE K800i, anyone owns one of them?”
“Anyone tells me how to get rid of low spirit?”
Or it can be used as an invitation/announcement:
“I’m so bored, SpiderMan3 anyone?”
“pm. 4:30 basketball, see you then.”
“My birthday party on____, want to come? Any suggestion?”
“Warcraft3 anyone?”
This “I ask; you answer” model works like online Q&As while target audiences are more specific and intimate with you.
(Twitter? Your “Status” on IM? Both of them can be used as this, but only limited numbers of words can be shown . I would like to have a more structured/systematic way to express my requests. Such as foldable threads of each asking-responses.)
