Idea Is Queen!

Have you ever mail to yourself? You may do so only when your email server doesn’t work properly. Now think about this: I mail to myself something more than “this is a test”, something like “Make sure to visit grandma next Tuesday night.” And you won’t receive this mail until next Tuesday morning. Ding Dong!

Write down whatever on your desktop/mobile phone -> set the date you would like to have this mail delivered -> one click and send texts to the mail-to-the-future server -> the server mails you on the preset date.

I know you want to tell me that tons of online-reminder/to do apps have already done so well on this field, but if this is the solution for the absent-minded, then this is. In my view, reminder/calendar apps are for those really “busy” guys and those who maintain an organized life. Somewhere in the world there are people not only being busy but also forgetful. They are so forgetful (lazy/chaotic) that even forget to turn on those apps. While almost all of us are used to check inbox everyday, no excuse is acceptable this time .

Besides works like a reminder, you can set a goal like “I will lose 20 pounds in the next 6 months”, and mail it to the future-you (The day you get the mail, the time for making a self-examination). Or pre-mail love-letters to your girl/boy friend which they receive on 14 Feb.. Or pre-mail cards to your friends for their birthday respectively (in case you are too busy to remember.) Or leave in advance your maxim as a gift to your adult-to-be daughter, celebrating her 18 birthday…

And for now, I’m imagining getting a mail from me on 7 May 2027: “Hello! It’s me of 2007. How’s thing going? Do you find the meaning of life? I just came up with an idea of mailing to the future…”
